Butterflies and Moths 
A number of butterfly and moth surveys have been carried out over the past 10 years, including two by Michael and Marion White in 2000 and 2007. On the letter occasion 140 specimens were identified. The most common were Meadow Brown, Orange Tip and Small White. Another survey was carried out by Ashley Bradshaw in 2002 when he identified 67 different species but nothing rare.
